I spent some time in finding wing mirrors I liked. I decided in the end to get some from a Rover 75. Here the basic mounting plates are cut out. The triangular shape from ½” mild steel plate and the other from 3/16” mild steel.

The scrap steel I cut the brackets from, with one bracket polished.

Doing the polishing.

The pieces finished and ready for chroming.
Note the copper pipe across the angle of the bracket to give stability for the bracket and a route for the wiring.

I bought a pair of chrome headlamp shells from Knebworth autojumble. They did not have mounting brackets. Here I am beginning to turn the bosses that fit into the wings.

Another View the basic shape turned and the lump I started with!
